Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9) · Science
Particles and their behaviour
Pupils study states of matter and particulate models, learning about solids, liquids and gases, particle arrangement, motion and density, and how temperature affects behaviour through diffusion, evaporation and pressure. They develop experimental skills in measuring density and observing state changes and use particle theory to explain macroscopic properties.
