Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6) · History
A non-European society
Pupils investigate a non-European society such as the Maya, Benin or the Shang dynasty, exploring political structures, religion, economy, technology and cultural achievements, and how these societies organised daily life and expressed identity. They develop skills in interpreting diverse sources, making cross-cultural comparisons, and explaining causes and consequences within broader world history.
